Servall coating station provides improved coating solutions for all paper and board grades. The type of coating method applied depends on the machine process conditions, like speed and web width, as well as the paper
and board quality desired. High performance and functionality are the critical characteristics in coating. Choosing the right kind of coating concept and drying ensures the high-quality paper and board in a
cost-effective way.
Low Dwell-time Coaters:
Low Dwell-time coater is a blade or rod coater with short dwell time application, especially well-suited for high-speed LWC coating.
Low dwell-time means that water penetration into base paper is minimized. This enables achieving low coat weights easily.
The possibility to apply thin coating layers with a low wet amount makes this coater an excellent choice for barrier applications.
It can be used for both front- and reverse side treatment in numerous combinations and set-ups. Can be equipped with either a manual or an Automatic Profiling - System. Because of its design, it is perfectly suited
for retrofits, which often have space limitations.
Low Dwell-time Coater’s Advantages:
- Excellent runnability with lower GSM grades
- Easy to adjust, operate and maintain
- Uniform coating quality
- Compact, Modular & Versatile
