Wire Part
In the wire section, a fiber web is formed out of the supension supplied by the headbox. The kind and quality of the suspension delivery from the headboxto the wire has a strong impact on the quality of the paper web formed. Therefore headbox and wire part - together with the approach flow system have always to be considered as one unit.
The main purposes of the wire part are:
- Extensive separation of fibers from water (drainage)
- Well-ordered seposition of the fibers on the wire ( oriented shear)
- Prevention of too much fiber flocculation (turbulence)
