Design

Servall 's design department uses the latest computer aided design tools to carry out the complete mechanical design of the Suction Rolls, including stress analysis and deflection calculations.

Manufacturing

Servall combines high precision machine tools with the experience gained in the field of complete paper machine manufacturing, to manufacture and supply high quality and reliable Suction Rolls. Each roll is fully shop assembled and dynamically balanced before shipping to the customer as a single unit, ready for installation. Servall manufacturing facilities include a full-fledged Machine Shop, an Assembly Shop and a Dynamic Balancing Facility. A full-fledged TUV Nord certified foundry is also part of Servall's modern infrastructure.

  • Suction Couch Roll - Single & Double Zone
  • Suction Pickup cum Press Roll - Three Zones
  • Suction Press Roll - For Straight Through Presses, Bi-Nip Press, Combi BI-Nip Press and Tri Nip Press and for Yankee Touch Roll.

Features

Shell

The shell material is selected based on the specific application and operating environment to ensure that the shell has the best possible resistance to corrosion, pitting and erosion, and to ensure longest possible shell life under the designed operating condition. Depending on the operating condition, shell material can be either Phosphor Bronze or Stainless Steel.

The size of the shell-diameter and wall thickness is calculated based on the stress and deflection analysis for the particular application. The shells are procured from the world's leading suppliers.

Depending on the application, the shells are supplied as Plain or Rubber Covered, Shells also are supplied with special rubber cover material like polyurethane for critical applications involving blind Drilling and Grooving.

Internal Suction Box Assembly

  • Box made of sturdy stainless steel construction.
  • Fitted with pneumatic air tube loaded seals, lubricating showers, front and back deckle adjustment mechanism

Journals

  • High strength steel journal bolted on to the shell.
  • Optionally depending on the application, Servall also supply the head with precision machined tapered location.
  • Head fixed with high tensile fasteners.
